September 5, 2019

It’s our CHURCH CAMPOUT WEEKEND … at Schwarz Park near Cottage Grove.  Camping is free.  All are welcome.    BUT our church will also be open for services.

There will not be any children’s divisions this week.

Two options for the adult study time - Herb will be teaching his class and we will have a link to the HOPE TV study with Derrick Morris being projected in the sanctuary.

NO fellowship meal this week.

Thank you to Del Johnson and Brad Wechner who will be taking on all of the platform responsibilities this week.

I’ll be preaching in Junction City this Sabbath, but I hope to join the group at the park later in the evening.

If you come to the park - bring chairs!

You are invited to join the campers for lunch, a walk, and supper this Sabbath. The address is 34909 Shoreview Dr., Cottage Grove. We have reserved group sight 00F.

We will be combining our tasty morsels for Sabbath lunch and supper. Lunch will be veggie burgers, chips and melons(watermelon/cantaloupe). Melons and cider will be provided - as well as condiments. Bring your favorite chips if you’d like.

Supper will be hotdogs, salads, and corn on the cob (corn provided). Brings your favorite hotdogs and buns and anything else you’d like. There should be condiments left from lunch to use. If you have a favorite salad that works well for camping, bring that to share. Plates, flatware, cups, garbage bags, etc. will be provided for the 2 meals we are  combining. We are also bringing tinfoil for the corn.

Sabbath afternoon we plan to drive a very short distance and enjoy a pretty walk along the Row River trail. It is paved and mostly flat, which should be nice for most everyone that wants to stretch their legs and enjoy more of our Northwest beauty.

Hear ye, hear ye! A fundraising Yard Sale for Decorating Committee will have its grand opening on these very premises on September 13 (9:00 AM to 2 PMish). But, there is a catch. This birth of new possibilities—chances to make old things new and keep old things old—will not be possible without you. This is your opportunity to free yourself from the extra items you have been storing in your garages and under your beds. Trust me, you will never miss it. We are here to gladly take your burdens off your hands and will appreciate you bringing them to the Fireside Room prior to 9:00 on the 13th. Contact Judy  (541)942-3664 if need to set up a drop off time on Wednesday or Thursday. Your help would be much appreciated for a few hours on the 13th.  Proceeds will help us procure new tables and chairs for the Primary/Junior/Earliteen rooms. Thank you!

Thank you to the Rodman’s for hosting our hike / vespers last Sabbath.
