This is Father's Day weekend ... I'm thankful for all the fathers at church.  I am encouraged as I see you modeling for your children what it means to be a loving, caring father who loves the Lord.

I'm thankful for the men who have showed up each week (after potluck) to watch the LOVE & RESPECT dvd.   It takes a lot of work for us men to learn how be better husbands and fathers.  Thank you for taking the time and effort to be better informed.  God will bless your efforts.

This Sabbath I'm preaching on the Holy Spirit again.  I intended to talk about speaking in tongues.  I will in a general way, but it won't be a sermon with proof texts or anything along that line.  God has given the gift of tongues to the church for one purpose.  Any use or manifestation outside of that purpose is an indication that something is wrong with the manifestation of the gift.

There will be a delicious fellowship meal after our worship service this week.
Thank you to those who make that happen each week!
